What is the architect doing?
He is by the riverside
What is he thinking out there?
He is committing egocide
Now isn’t that a strange thing?
Well, to him it feels just
Oh we guess a person’s gotta do
What a person feels he must
.

He said:
“I won’t throw myself from the pier
I’m gonna go home and shut up for a year
And when the year is over I’ll reappear
And have a solution”

I’ve reason to believe that what I find
Is gonna change the face of humankind
And all these years before, well I was blind
That’s my conclusion

Now the man has understood
That outerspace is overrated
About all the problems on this Earth we should
Worry now to solve them later
And so he’s brooding and alluding on a perfect design
He thinks that working on behalf of himself is a crime
He flashes out by the water, a view so divine
He’s the architect of his own fate, a man in his prime

Now if these aspirations bother you
Well you are just you, you don’t have a clue
I’m sticking to the plan, I will see it through
Let there be no confusion

(lasciamo perdere quella roba spaziale, torniamo giù sulla terra!)

cosa sta facendo l’architetto?
è sulla riva del fiume
che cosa sta pensando laggiù?
sta commmettendo un egocidio
ora, non è una cosa strana?
bene, a lui sembra giusto
e noi supponiamo che una persona debba fare
quello che sente di dover fare

lui disse:
“non mi butterò dal molo
andrò a casa e starò zitto per un anno
e a fine anno riapparirò
con una soluzione”

ho ragione di credere che quello che troverò
cambiarà la faccia dell’umanità
ed in tutti questi anni prima di adesso, ero cieco

è la mia conclusione

adesso l’uomo ha capito
che lo spazio fuori dalla terra è sovrastimato
rispetto a tutti i nostri problemi
di cui dovremmo preoccuparci ora, per risolverli poi
così è preoccupato e riferisce di un design perfetto
pensa che lavorare per il suo interesse sia un crimine
risplende sulle acque, una visione divina
è l’architetto del suo destino,un uomo giovane

lui disse:

ho ragione di credere che quello che troverò

così si è disegnato un pentagono
pensandolo come una cupola geodesica
dalla costa di tahiti alle colline di Roma
spostati perchè quest’uomo si porterà a casa il premio nobel

lui disse:

ora, se queste aspirazioni ti infastidiscono
tu sei solo tu, e non capisci
io seguo il mio piano, e vedrò chiaramente
e che non ci sia confusione
