Il modo di dire Make ends meet che letteralmente può essere tradotto con ‘fare toccare le estremità’ in realtà significa ‘farcela’ dal punto di vista economico, oppure ‘tirare avanti’. Una espressione con una connotazione simile in italiano potrebbe essere ‘arrivare a fine mese’.
